Newcastle big band
Sting joins the band in 1972, it is really the first band he played with. Some songs werre recorded, and all the tracks were recorded live, half of them at the University Theatre in Newcastle and the other half at the Pau Jazz Festival. It is very Jazz, Sting just play double bass on it, and it is really for fans only!

Last exit
Sting formed Last Exit with three other members of the Newcastle Big Band (Jerry Richardson, John Hedley and Ronnie Pearson). A very limited "promo-only" cassette album "First From Last Exit" exists, but impossible to find. Only the following tracks are available:

Sting with E.Shoener
Sting perform with this German compositeur, and Andy summers plays on some on tracks. It was just at the bigging of The Police, and two album were recorded “Video magic” and “Flashback”. Sting sings on most of the tracks.

The soul cages demos
In 1990, when Sting was recording the album "The soul cages", Roberto Gligorov was realising the book "The illustrated lyrics". It seems that it is for this that these demos werre recorded, to let Roberto Gligorov listen to the tracks to illustrate them. The version are not the same as on the final album, and it also plays "Ain't no sunshine" which was finaly not released.

Issued in 1995, this album is the soundtrack of an IMAX movie/report about the sea. It includes new versions of some Sting songs, added of new composition (but not played by him). A very great album.
