I'm Jörg Zimmermann from Germany. I'm old (35 exactly), married for 11
years now & have 4 sons.
2- What did you do for living?
I'm a record dealer.
3- Sting or Police?
Both, but I still prefer THE POLICE. – Don't forget however Stewart
& Andy. Especially Stewart has done some amazing work – to my mind
he's very much underrated.
4- When did you start to collect Sting items and why?
I started back in 1979 when I was still very, very young. I received the "Message
in a Bottle" 7" as a birthday present. That was the beginning and
years later I have quite some stuff I think ;-)
Why I collect? Because man has been a hunter & collector for 10.000 years
I think.
5- What did you collect (everything, just CD, vinyl…)?
Basically everything. I still love 7" singles because that's what started
this whole craziness. I also love any printed material (Presstuff, magazines,
tourbooks, etc.)
6- What is the item your are the proudest to have?
Difficult to say – maybe my acetates, maybe something else – don't
know really.
7- What is the item your definitely want top have?
The Ghost In The Machine promo LP with light effects.
8- What is your best remember about Sting and/or collecting?
That I've met many very nice (and some really crazy…) people over the
last decades. It was all a bit more intimate & friendly before the internet
though.
9- How many time did you see sting/Police live?
