My name is Greg Bratton and I am 41 years old. I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio,
USA and lived there for 36 years. I now live in Lexington, Kentucky, USA
2- What did you do for living?
I am an Area Manager selling industrial air compressor systems. I have been
in this profession for 22 years.
3- Sting or Police?
I have recently decided to only collect Sting solo era material.
4- When did you start to collect Sting items and why?
I started collecting Sting items in 1993 after Ten Summoners Tales was released.
The bonus tracks on releases outside the USA got me started, then I found
Goldmine Magazine and started to collect CD singles. I did not take the hobby
seriously though until Brand New Day was released and I discovered eBay and
many online collectors stores.
5- What did you collect (everything, just CD, vinyl…)?
I collect everything I can get on CD plus I also collect promo cassettes and
a little vinyl.
6- What is the item your are the proudest to have?
The item I am proudest to own is the Taiwan All This Time CD and book. I also
am feel lucky to own are the 1991 & 1993 Japanese DJ promo CD's and the
US Soul Cages promo CD in the jute bag.
7- What is the item your definitely want top have?
The 1988 Japanese Special DJ promo CD.
8- What is your best remember about Sting and/or collecting?
My best Sting memory was the opportunity I had in December 2001 to see Sting
in Las Vegas to end the All This Time promo tour. I met many Sting fans I
had only previously known through e-mails. In collecting, my best memories
are the new friends I have found through this hobby.
9- How many time did you see sting/Police live?
I have seen Sting in concert 7 times. I saw him twice during the Soul Cages
tour, once during the Ten Summoners Tales tour, once during the Mercury Falling
tour, twice during the Brand New Day tour and once during the All This Time
promo tour.
10- Your 5 favourites songs /your order of preference
of the album?
This is always a very difficult subject for me because I enjoy all of the
material. But if you make me choose, I will say my favorite 5 songs are Why
Should I Cry For You, They Dance Alone, Hounds Of Winter (All This Time version
especially), A Thousand Years and Shape Of My Heart. My favorite cover song
is Ain't No Sunshine. My favorites 5 albums are Soul Cages, All This Time,
Brand New Day, Nothing Like The Sun and Ten Summoners Tales.
